This 1967 Dell issue puts Alvin front and center in a gloriously chaotic scene — the little chipmunk has swallowed a bird whistle, and the cover promises that "the whole town goes koo koo" as a result. You can see exactly why: a pair of stunned masked robbers are caught mid-heist, their cymbal-crashing trap going "KE-RASH!" and "SNAP!" as startled onlookers peer down from a balcony above. For fans of the animated chipmunk's mischievous charm, "Birds of a Feather Flock to Alvin" looks like a wonderfully zany twelve-cent adventure.
