“The Perfect World”

Opening the "No Future" trilogy, Alpha Flight #128 kicks off a three-part story with a cover that pulls no punches — multiple members of Canada's premier super-team are shown battered and piled atop one another in a striking wash of red, their red-and-white uniforms making the scene feel both chaotic and strangely unified. Dario Carrasco Jr. and Bruce D. Patterson's cover composition is genuinely arresting, with figures — including a blonde woman at the bottom and a powerfully built central figure dominating the heap — rendered with real weight and urgency. If this opening image is any indication, "The Perfect World" is a story that challenges Alpha Flight in a serious way.
