Few images in the 2013 Marvel NOW! era carry quite this much uneasy tension: the cover by Stuart Immonen and Wade von Grawbadger places a young Cyclops — in his classic blue-and-gold costume and ruby-quartz visor — in the unsettling embrace of Mystique, whose blue skin, yellow eyes, and red hair make her unmistakable even as she drapes herself over him with an almost predatory calm. The contrast between his guarded expression and her cool, self-assured pose raises plenty of questions about where their paths are about to cross. Brian Michael Bendis writes, with interior art by David Marquez and colors by Marte Gracia rounding out a creative team delivering one of the more intriguing chapters of this series.
