All-New Guardians of the Galaxy #2
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeAaron Kuder's cover for issue #2 of All-New Guardians of the Galaxy is a vertiginous, Escher-like composition that sends the whole team tumbling through a surreal, gravity-defying space — Star-Lord front and center with blasters drawn, Gamora crouched on a floating platform above him, Rocket scrambling with his own weapon, Baby Groot clinging nearby, and an inverted figure (likely Mantis) falling on the far left, all while an enormous, unsettling face looms in the background and a Medusa-like medallion rests ominously at Star-Lord's feet. The retrofuturistic neon logo perfectly sets the tone for what Gerry Duggan and Kuder (with colors by Ive Svorcina) seem to be building: a wild, off-kilter cosmic caper that earns its "Been Caught Stealing" title. If issue #1 had you hooked, this cover alone makes a convincing case to keep going.
