When Ernie enters the contest against Lily Belle's wishes, she and a friend devise a scheme to enter his name and sabotage his performance at an afternoon trail ride. After Ernie is thrown from a horse and rescued by Pamela Dunlop, complications arise when multiple suitors claim romantic interest in Lily Belle, leading to a chaotic situation where Ernie must intervene and ultimately convince Lily Belle to abandon the contest and commit to him instead.
