All Funny Comics #19

A fine slice of postwar humor from DC's comedy anthology, this 1947 issue serves up a genuinely absurd gag right on its cover: a fast-talking huckster in a checkered suit pitches a "Big Sale — Genuine U.S. Nickels, 3 for 25¢" while a stout blond fellow in a pinstripe suit bends eagerly over the table, apparently ready to take the bait — much to the amusement of a young woman and a small child looking on in red outfits. At 52 pages for just ten cents, All Funny Comics #19 packed plenty of laughs into every issue, and the cover's cheerful street-con scenario sets a perfect comedic tone for the "Noodle Boodle" story within.
