Trapped in the silence of space with no way to call for help, they must hold on to hope until the Interplanetary Patrol arrives—before the darkness closes in.
In "The Rustlers' Train!", a pair of rival sheriffs—Walt, the self-proclaimed but unimpressive lawman, and Wayne, who wears the badge with a different kind of grit—both take up the trail when a herd of cattle vanishes into the high desert. With the trail leading to hidden caves and a stolen freight train used to move the stolen livestock, Wayne finds himself racing across the train’s roof, gunning down rustlers before vanishing into the dust—just as two men in sheriff’s uniforms face off in the shadow of the rails.
In "The War Between the Challenger Teams," Prof and Rocky find themselves caught between two underwater factions—the fish-like Martinels and the fiery Lavanites—each vying for control of ancient oil pipes beneath the sea. When Ace and Red dive in to rescue their teammates, they stumble into the conflict, only to realize their efforts to sabotage the enemy are threatening both sides. With tensions high and the volcano on the brink of eruption, the Challenger teams must confront the truth: their battle is not against a single foe, but against a shared danger that could destroy them all.
In "The Scarecrow Hero!", the Crazy Hat Gang mocks lawman Johnny Thunder by shooting up a scarecrow in his likeness, daring him to return. When schoolteacher John Tane refuses to back down, he’s thrown through a window—only to emerge by night as the masked Johnny Thunder, hiding in plain sight. As dawn breaks, the outlaws ride to their scarecrow, unaware that it’s now alive with blazing six-guns and a relentless justice. With the element of surprise, the scarecrow strikes, turning the tide in a showdown that leaves even the sheriff stunned.
In "The Masked Marauders of Earth!", Hawkman and Hawkgirl race to Midway City when word arrives that the Manhawks are once again wreaking havoc—echoing a past they helped shape, when they were instrumental in founding the Thangarian police force under Hawkman’s father. The duo must confront the Manhawks once more, facing a threat that ties back to their own history.
