Johnny Thunder stands his ground in this April–May 1952 52-page DC Western, blazing pistol in one hand and a flaming torch held high in the other, while a group of armed outlaws and an older settler crouch and fire from behind an overturned covered wagon on the sun-baked desert flats. The cover by penciler Alex Toth and inker Frank Giacoia crackles with kinetic energy — gunsmoke, streaking bullets, and leaping flames making the promise of "Cheyenne Justice!" feel entirely earned. Martin Naydel handles the interior work throughout, delivering a full 52 pages of frontier action for a well-spent dime.
