The second installment of this French anthology from Vide Cocagne arrives with a cover that's hard to ignore: a hulking, red-fleshed monster looms over a terrified astronaut against a barren, otherworldly landscape, blending sci-fi dread with a gleefully grotesque sense of humor. The tagline — "Y en a un peu plus, je vous le mets quand même ?" — cheekily borrows the language of the corner deli, giving this 2012 collection a playful identity all its own. Alimentation Générale promises a generous helping of offbeat comics, and if this cover is any indication, the flavors on offer are wonderfully strange.
