The cover of this second chapter of Aliens vs. Predator: Xenogenesis says it all — a determined woman clutches a handgun while an acid-drooling Alien looms directly behind her, its clawed hand reaching ominously over her shoulder. Cover artist Hugues Labiano frames the threat with real tension, placing these two figures in uncomfortably close proximity against a cool blue background that makes the Alien's gleaming teeth and neon-yellow saliva all the more unsettling. Dark Horse's 2000 miniseries, written by Andi Watson with interior art by Mel Rubi, continues to deliver that signature edge-of-your-seat atmosphere the AvP universe does so well.
