Aliens: Rescue #1

Dark Horse launches Aliens: Rescue in 2019 with a cover by Roberto de la Torre that sets an unmistakably tense tone — a squad of armed soldiers in full combat gear advances through a darkened, alien-infested corridor, while a bullet-riddled shooting target looms above them, overshadowed by the silhouette of a Xenomorph's clawed hand. The stark black-and-white palette, punctuated by scattered skulls on the ground, makes clear that whoever these soldiers are hunting — or rescuing someone from — the odds are anything but comfortable. Brian Wood and Kieran McKeown kick off what promises to be a gritty, high-stakes chapter in the Aliens universe.
