Aliens: Defiance #5
Brian Wood and artist Tristan Jones's Aliens: Defiance reaches its fifth chapter with a cover by Massimo Carnevale that pulls no punches — a Xenomorph looms in terrifying close-up, claws outstretched toward a bloodied human figure in the foreground, while chaos erupts in the background as more figures are thrown through the air by a second alien. Carnevale's painterly style gives the whole scene a bruising, atmospheric tension that feels entirely fitting for a chapter subtitled "Siege." Dan Jackson's moody coloring ties it all together in deep blues and shadows, making this one of the more viscerally gripping covers in the series so far.
