Aliens #3
Dark Horse's Aliens #3 (2009) arrives with a Raymond Swanland cover that pulls no punches — a towering Xenomorph looms at the center in dramatic chiaroscuro, its elongated skull and dripping jaws rendered in grim detail as it rears over a fallen human figure, with a second alien lurking in the shadows to the left. The composition radiates menace, using bursts of fiery light against storm-grey tones to give the creature an almost sculptural weight. With John Arcudi writing and Zach Howard on interior art, this series continues to deliver the franchise's signature blend of dread and relentless action.
