Alice Never After #4

Dan Panosian's painted-style cover for issue four of this 2023 Boom! Studios series sets a striking scene: a blonde Alice in a red dress and the White Rabbit — clutching what appears to be a card — are separated and dwarfed by an enormous heart-strewn labyrinth viewed from above. The overhead perspective makes Wonderland feel genuinely vast and disorienting, with red heart motifs scattered throughout the maze's corridors hinting at the Queen's influence lurking beneath the surface. With Giorgio Spalletta and Francesco Segala also on the creative team, Alice Never After continues to deliver a darkly elegant reimagining of Wonderland that's hard to put down.
