Dynamite's Alice Cooper series hits its fourth issue with a cover that's equal parts rock spectacle and nightmare fuel. A horned, glowing-eyed demon clutches an electric guitar with arms outstretched in cruciform, while a looming top-hatted Alice Cooper figure towers behind it, trident in hand, wreathed in eerie flame and swirling occult symbols. Writer Rodney Barnes and artist Edu Menna are crafting something genuinely unsettling here, and this 2024 issue makes a compelling case that shock rock and comics horror are a natural fit.
