Alias #15

This fifteenth issue of Marvel's MAX imprint series features a striking cover by David Mack — a mixed-media collage of torn paper, handwritten text, pressed leaves, lace, and a delicate butterfly, against which a red-haired woman in a dark top, layered skirt, and blue jacket stands with a quietly vulnerable poise. The textural richness of the cover gives the whole thing an intimate, almost journal-like feeling that sets Alias apart from anything else on shelves in 2002. Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos continue their collaboration on the interior, promising the same grounded, adult-oriented storytelling the series is known for.
