Jonathan Luna and Sarah Vaughn's thought-provoking sci-fi series reaches its twelfth issue with a cover that is quietly arresting: a single outstretched hand, rendered with delicate realism, drips with vivid purple liquid that trails down the fingers and falls away into open space.
