Alan Moore présente Swamp Thing #3
The cover of this French-language Urban Comics/DC Vertigo collection says everything with remarkable economy: two silhouettes — the massive, unmistakable form of Swamp Thing and a long-haired woman beside him — stand together in a murky, amber-lit bayou, dark birds wheeling through the Spanish-moss-draped trees above them. That interplay of brooding shadow and warm, glowing light gives the image an atmosphere that is equal parts haunting and strangely tender. Volume III of Alan Moore's celebrated run on the character, published in 2020, gathers more of the stories that redefined what a DC Vertigo title could be.
