Airboy encounters the legendary Wild Horse of Calabra, a supernatural beast that a group of strangers claim has been sent to bring back a fallen comrade. The horse proves to be wild and uncontrollable, suddenly fleeing with one of the men despite their attempts to harness it. In a separate story, a Chinese warlord's son returns from America with atomic disintegrator weapons and makes a deal with a flying ace named Ruff Thorne, offering to freeze out Thorne's wildcat airline in exchange for the pilot's men and equipment. Additionally, the issue includes a prose western tale featuring Russian Bill, a Wyoming drifter who steals a horse from Tombstone and attempts to evade pursuit across the Arizona landscape.
