“The Portal of Pan [part 1]”

In "The Portal of Pan [part 1]," the Agents of Atlas face a fire dragon in Madripoor before encountering Isaac Ikeda, the self-proclaimed Protector of Pan. As mysterious columns of white light erupt across Asian cities and a televised message from Mike Nguyen reveals the Pan Pass—a gateway to connected urban centers—Isaac crashes from the sky, followed by a swarm of dragons, setting the stage for a global mystery. Written by Greg Pak and illustrated by Nico Leon, with inks by Jason Paz, colors by Federico Blee, and letters by Joe Sabino, the issue’s striking cover by Jung-Geun Yoon captures the moment the world changes.

While battling a fire dragon in Madripoor, the Agents meet Isaac Ikeda, who calls himself the Protector of Pan. Later, giant columns of white light appear in several Asian cities across the globe, followed by the televised image of Mike Nguyen to explain that this is a demonstration of how Big Nguyen Company's "Pan" will allow citizens to move freely between the connected cities — if they buy a Pan Pass. Shortly following Nguyen's announcement, an injured Isaac Ikeda drops from the sky, followed by numerous dragons.
