In "Direction : l'Enfer !", Tanya seeks Warren's help after learning her lost love, Karl Lykos, may still be alive in the Savage Land—prompting the high-flying Angel to join her on a dangerous journey. When Peter Parker tags along for a scoop, the pair soon find themselves captured by the Mutates and brought before the enigmatic Brainchild.

In "Mon âme en sacrifice," Brainchild unleashes a twisted experiment that turns Angel and Spider-Man into monstrous forms, forcing them to battle Ka-Zar and the Fall People in the Savage Land. When Tanya is captured and transformed, Lykos steps in to save her—pulling the mutation from her, restoring the heroes, but at a cost that leaves him transformed into Sauron. With Spidey and Angel gone, Sauron remains, a lingering threat in the wilds.

In "La vallée de la mort...", the X-Men plunge into the treacherous Savage Land in pursuit of Sauron, only to be ambushed by the Mutates in a brutal clash. Overwhelmed, the team is scattered—Angel the sole escapee—while the rest are taken captive and brought before Sauron and Zaladane.

In "Les âmes perdues !", Angel and Ka-Zar must forge an unlikely alliance to rescue the captured X-Men from Sauron’s clutches. With Xavier believing he’s finally cured Karl Lykos of his Sauron persona, the team’s fate hangs in the balance—though the past isn’t so easily laid to rest.
