Adventures of Captain America #4
This fourth and final issue of the 1992 prestige-format miniseries brings Cap's wartime origin story to a close, with a cover by Kevin Maguire and Terry Austin that strikes a confident, almost triumphant pose — Captain America and a young Bucky stand front and center, shield in hand, while three inset panels labeled "Showdown," "Break-Out," and "Defeat" hint at the high-stakes action packed inside. The clean, heroic staging of the duo feels like a deliberate nod to the Golden Age sensibility the series set out to celebrate. At $4.95, it's a handsome send-off to a series that clearly had a lot of affection for Steve Rogers and his scrappy partner.
