From Atlas Comics' busy anthology era, this February 1953 issue of Adventures into Weird Worlds sports a Sol Brodsky cover that wastes no time setting a sinister mood. A gaunt, grinning ghoul in a purple jacket looms over an open coffin while panicked townspeople scramble in the background, with a fallen figure sprawled in the foreground — all of it perfectly capturing the lead story's promise of "Terror in Our Town!" Three tales are teased on the cover, including "Back from the Dead!" and "The Man Who Jumped!", making this a satisfyingly packed package of early-'50s chills for ten cents.
