This anthology issue contains two stories. "Toto's Long Sleep" by Peggy Walton follows a young bear cub who resists hibernation and sneaks out of his cave, only to become lost in the forest where he discovers his favorite tree is dying and the seasons have changed dramatically during his time away. "The Rival Twins" tells of a kind king who has long desired a son and rejoices when he is finally blessed with twin heirs, but the kingdom falls into turmoil as no one can determine which twin was born first and therefore which will inherit the throne.
