Adventure Time #74

This 2018 KaBOOM! entry delivers a wonderfully chaotic cover from artist and inker Shelli Paroline and colorist Braden Lamb, featuring a massive unicorn surging through a swirling, candy-colored landscape with Jake the Dog riding along wide-eyed at the front. Finn, a mysterious green-skinned figure in a yellow hat and flowing hair, a heavily armored character, and a whole cast of Land of Ooo denizens — including a raccoon-like creature and Lady Rainicorn peeking from the corner — tumble through the frame in gloriously energetic fashion. Issue #74 captures everything that makes this series such a delight: vibrant, expressive art and the sense that absolutely anything could happen in the Candy Kingdom and beyond.
