Finn and Jake stand at a crossroads presided over by a grinning horned skeleton perched atop a gnarled, eerie tree — its signpost arms spelling out "Choose Your Own Adventure Time" — and the whole scene crackles with playful menace. Chris Houghton's cover art leans into that classic "pick your path" spirit, with Finn gripping a golden sword and Jake looking wide-eyed at the unsettling fork in the road, bones and skulls scattered across the ground below them. KaBOOM!'s 2012 series continues to deliver this kind of imaginative, humor-laced fun, with the interior story "Hot Deals in Ice Kingdom" written by Ryan North and illustrated by Shelli Paroline and Braden Lamb.
