The third volume of this quietly charming manga adaptation brings together the two leads — dark-haired Adachi in her blue scarf and warm-smiling Shimamura in her pink one — side by side on what looks like a school train bench, both mid-conversation and visibly at ease with each other. Moke Yuzuhara's art, adapted from Hitoma Iruma's original story with character designs by Non, captures that cozy, wintry intimacy the series does so well. If you've been following their slow, tender connection, volume three looks like a genuinely lovely continuation of one of 2022's most heartfelt shojo-adjacent titles.
