In the aftermath of a mine blast in Grenada, Flint and Lady Jaye find themselves separated from Snake-Eyes, Scarlett, and the Blind Master—only to be met with skepticism from Hawk in San Francisco, where Billy, Jinx, and Storm Shadow await word. As the Joes in Utah and San Francisco face growing surveillance, a sudden underground uprising in Utah reveals a new threat beneath the surface, while Stalker and the captured Joes plot their way out of a hidden gulag, and Fred VII sets off toward Cobra Island in the Pogo vehicle.

In "Nye posisjoner," the newly deceased Snake-Eyes, Scarlett, and Blind Master prepare for a daring invasion of Borovia to rescue their captured comrades, while Fred VII lands on Cobra Island, declaring himself Cobra Commander. The Baroness supports his claim to protect Serpentor’s secret, knowing only she can see his true face. Meanwhile, Chuckles and Psyche-Out arrive at the Utah base, uneasy about the strange activity that unfolds under cover of night.
