“Silent Night”

In "Silent Night," Action Force faces a grim turning point as Wade, after a pivotal conversation with Snake-Eyes and Stalker, chooses to leave Cobra behind, taking his new family with him. The Soft Master makes a final, desperate stand during a chaotic escape from Springfield, diverting a missile meant for a crashed car—only to trigger another that seals the fate of Candy, a drunk driver, and Billy, trapped at a train signal. Written by Larry Hama and illustrated by Rod Whigham, with inks by Andy Mushynsky and colors by George Roussos, this emotionally charged issue is grounded in sacrifice and consequence. The cover, a striking collaboration by Jeff Anderson, Lew Stringer, and Simon Coleby, captures the tension of the moment in sharp, dynamic lines.
