In "Hulens Fall," the Joe team faces a crisis when a high-stakes Pentagon investigation into the Springfield attack threatens their standing, even as Cobra strikes at Ft. Wadsworth with a surprise assault on the Pit. With the base under siege and the motor pool overrun, Flint must send Lady Jaye to rally the remaining Joes while the team fights to hold the line—only to see the Pit collapse in on itself, burying the Commander and Destro beneath the wreckage. In the aftermath, a surviving general reinstates the Joes, redefining them as a nomad unit with a new mission.
