Part of DC's 1996 "Legends of the Dead Earth" annuals event, this oversized issue takes a wonderfully unsettling detour into Bizarro World — and Jerry Ordway's cover sets the tone perfectly. A grinning, grey-skinned Bizarro looms large in his Superman costume, cradling a miniature landscape of the chaotic "Galaxy's Worst Amusement Park" complete with fireworks, wild rides, and bizarre creatures in the background. Writer David Michelinie and artist Kieron Dwyer bring their talents to "A World of Hurt," promising a story as delightfully warped as that mock admission ticket inviting you to enjoy free parking and "Crazy Crystals.
