Superman realizes that Brainiac 13 has created this Krypton from the data in his birthing matrix to kill Superman or imprison him in the Phantom Zone forever. But Jor-El is able to restart the Eradicator program, restore the phantom Krypton to its idyllic existence, and seal it off after sending Superman and Krypto back to Earth.
