That cover does the job immediately — a massive, grotesque vampire face fills the frame, its enormous bloodshot eye reflecting a fist-cocked Superman flying straight toward the viewer, while rows of jagged fangs leer along the bottom edge. The tagline "Caitiff, The First Vampire!" promises a villain of ancient and unsettling menace for the Man of Steel to contend with.
