Action Comics #284
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis January 1962 issue of Action Comics presents one of Superman's more unusual predicaments — the cover by Curt Swan and Sheldon Moldoff shows a child-sized Superman in full costume hammering his fist through a police desk, desperately trying to convince two stunned officers that he is, in fact, the adult Man of Steel trapped in a child's body. The speech bubbles perfectly capture the disbelief on both sides, making for a wonderfully absurd scene that pulls you straight into the story. As a bonus, the cover also promises a Supergirl adventure in Atlantis, so this issue from Jerry Siegel and Jim Mooney is genuinely packed with Silver Age imagination.
