Vigilante visits a wounded veteran who has developed a streamlined Vigilante cycle. Unscrupulous cycle dealer Lyle Jordan calls it impractical, but offers to buy it and all the patents as a curiosity for $5,000. Vigilante offers to give it a test run, resulting in Jordan upping his offer to $25,000. When this too is refused Jordan pays some men to sabotage the tests.
