“Just an Ordinary Guy!”

In "Just an Ordinary Guy!", a heartfelt 1947 tale from Bill Finger and George Roussos, a dying prospector named Tote Todd gets one last chance to relive his youth in a recreated gold-rush town. With help from old friends like Greg Sanders and a mysterious vigilante, Tote’s dream takes a dangerous turn when real outlaws show up, turning the re-enactment into a fight for survival. The cover by Wayne Boring and Al Plastino captures the wild west spirit of the story, a classic DC adventure from a time when heroes wore masks and every town had a secret.

Old prospector Tote Todd wants to relive his youth in a rip-roaring gold-rush town. With Tote only having a month to live, his old partner suggests to a group of friends (including Greg Sanders) a re-enactment of those old days in an old Western town, to give Tote a contented ending. All goes according to plan until a gang of crooks decide there is gold to be stolen and start shooting up the town. Tote, Stuff and The Vigilante pursue them to the gold mine and they are stopped. Tote succumbs to a heart attack never knowing about his terminal illness, and is buried on Boot Hill.
