“The Great Crasher!”

In "The Great Crasher!", a forgotten ghost town stirs to life when a gang of crooks salts the mines with gold dust to sell fake plots and inflate prices. When singer Greg Sanders arrives and uncovers the scam, he steps in as The Vigilante to expose the fraud. A surprising discovery in the spring water sets the stage for a new kind of boom—one that turns Coyote Gulch into a thriving spa resort. George Roussos handles both pencils and inks for the story, while Jack Burnley and Stan Kaye bring the cover to life.

Coyote Gulch became a ghost town when the gold petered out. A gang of crooks on the run arrive and decide to create a scam by mixing their gold dust with the mine dirt. They buy the town for a mere pittance and, once a boom is started, they sell plots at inflated prices. Greg Sanders is booked to sing in the town and observes the crooked gambling. As The Vigilante he exposes the gold-salting scam. Rich minerals are discovered in the spring water and a year later the town booms as a spa resort.
