☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis collection brings together the seven-issue miniseries that spun out of DC's 2024 'Absolute Power' event. Task Force VII follows Amanda Waller's elite squad of metahuman enforcers as they hunt down heroes and villains alike in the wake of the global power crisis, showcasing the brutal efficiency of Waller's operation through the eyes of her most lethal operatives.
"Last Son" delivers a high-stakes showdown in the Absolute Power: Task Force VII series, as the Amazo construct Jadestone begins to fracture under the weight of stolen powers—first Alan Scott’s, then the Justice Society’s, and finally Star Sapphire’s. With the heroes scattered and the Tower of Fate their only hope, Jadestone turns to the Oblivion Bar to track them down, while Steve Trevor makes a dangerous move inside Amanda Waller’s hidden prison for captured heroes. Written by Jeremy Adams and illustrated with sharp precision by Marco Santucci—whose inks and Arif Prianto’s colors heighten the tension—this issue is a pivotal chapter in the larger conflict, with Pete Woods’ cover capturing the eerie intensity of Jadestone’s unraveling.
