Abraham Stone: Country Mouse, City Rat #[nn]
Joe Kubert writes, draws, inks, and letters this 1991 Malibu/Platinum graphic novel, a one-man creative feat that speaks volumes about his dedication to the craft. The cover places the rugged Abraham Stone front and center in what appears to be a dimly lit saloon or dive bar, a glass in hand, while two sharp-featured, sinister-looking figures crowd in close behind him — the tension between country grit and city menace practically leaps off the page. It's a beautifully composed, atmospheric piece that sets a wonderfully noir tone for the "Country Mouse, City Rat" story within.
