Abbott and Costello become involved in a theatrical mishap when Abbott offers Costello a job at a circus. The story includes a barber shop scene where the duo discusses sports, followed by encounters with a scarred man named Maxie at a barbershop, and ultimately leads to backstage chaos at a theater with chorus girls. In the main story "The Man Without a Head," Abbott secures Costello a circus job selling popcorn for fifty dollars for ten minutes' work, but the arrangement goes awry when Costello's antics cause comedic disaster involving the popcorn stand and various circus performers.
