Abbott and Costello Comics #9 contains at least two stories: "Seen But Not Heard," in which Abbott and Costello attempt to keep quiet for half an hour to win a bet, but their antics—including encounters with a runaway horse and a wedding—result in constant noise and chaos; and "Discover America," wherein the pair embark on a sea voyage to Patterson, New Jersey, dressed as sailors, leading to romantic misadventures and comic mishaps aboard ship. The issue also includes a Bubble Bubble Gum advertisement at the end.
