A Walk Through Hell #1
Garth Ennis and Goran Sudžuka team up for this 2018 AfterShock series, and the opening volume — subtitled *The Warehouse* — sets a quietly unsettling tone from its very first image. Andy Clarke's cover pulls the viewer into a stark bird's-eye view of an industrial warehouse at night, three police cruisers with lights blazing arrayed in the forecourt, officers scattered around them, and two lone figures standing at the dark open loading-bay entrance as a tactical vehicle idles nearby. That wide, cold perspective makes the scene feel less like an action set-piece and more like something dreadful is waiting just inside, which is exactly the kind of dread Ennis does best.
