A Town Called Terror #2

Szymon Kudranski's cover for this 2022 Image series sets an immediately unsettling mood — a massive, grotesque demonic face looms out of crimson smoke above a fog-shrouded town, dead trees and scattered leaves framing the scene like something ancient and hungry stirring awake. The small church and gravestones below feel achingly vulnerable beneath that monstrous presence, giving the whole image a slow-burn dread that horror fans will appreciate. Steve Niles and Kudranski are clearly building something deeply atmospheric with "The Return," and this second issue promises the darkness is only deepening.
