A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School #5

Mai Tanaka's supernatural comedy series rolls on with Volume 5, and the cover says it all: a wide-eyed, screaming teacher in a dress shirt and red tie is completely surrounded by his grinning, claw-gesturing monster students — including a spiky-haired ghoul with red eyes and a collar, a girl with a half-skull face and a cute ghost perched on her head, and a few more enthusiastic classmates closing in from every angle. It's a wonderfully chaotic snapshot of the series' central dynamic, where the humans are clearly outnumbered and the monsters are having a fantastic time about it. If you've been following along since Volume 1, this 2018 installment looks like more of the cheerful mayhem that makes this series such a delight.
