A Máquina do Tempo de Adão Iturrusgarai #[nn]
From Adão Iturrusgarai comes this gloriously absurdist Brazilian comics album, proudly badged "3D — Destrambelhado, Desopilante, Delirante" and printed in what the cover cheekily calls "Futurístico Iturrusgaraicolor." The cover plunges you straight into the madness: a wide-eyed fellow in a striped shirt and pilot's helmet steers a bulbous, blimp-like contraption through a swirling time vortex, a clock on a mechanical arm spinning overhead and exhaust puffing from the back — all while a peculiarly spiky creature rides along up front. Published by Zarabatana Books in 2014, with a special participation by Laerte, this is Brazilian humor comics firing on all cylinders.
