A Lucky Luke Adventure #9

The ninth entry in Cinebook's English-language Lucky Luke library finds the laconic cowboy and his trusty pinto Jolly Jumper riding alongside a covered-wagon caravan, while a flustered muleteer — complete with a squawking, red-feathered parrot — struggles with his reins and a pair of very uncooperative mules in the foreground. Morris's artwork brings all the cheerful cartoon energy you'd expect from the Morris & Goscinny partnership, with a whole train of prairie schooners stretching into the dusty background. If you enjoy wide-open-West comedy with a light touch, this 2008 Cinebook edition is a very satisfying ride.
