A Lucky Luke Adventure #49

The four Dalton brothers — in their unmistakable black-and-yellow prison stripes — line up from shortest to tallest on this wonderfully comic cover, each clutching a handkerchief and looking thoroughly sorry for themselves, while dangling spiders and a flat-on-its-back dog add to the cheerful misery. Lucky Luke himself peers in from the top corner, seemingly bemused by the whole spectacle. Writers Xavier Fauche and Jean Léturgie team with artist Morris for this 49th adventure, promising the kind of sharp, warm-hearted Western comedy that has made this series such a delight.
