Volume 16 of Kazuma Kamachi and Chuya Kogino's *A Certain Magical Index* brings a striking cover that packs in three distinct characters: a tall, red-haired figure in a nun's habit looms large in the background, her intense pink eyes fixed forward, while two shorter blonde characters in matching purple-and-white nun outfits occupy the foreground — one calm and blue-eyed, the other visibly startled amid swirling green energy and a glowing golden orb. The composition, framed by an enormous golden mechanical wheel and bursts of magical light, captures the series' signature blend of religious iconography and supernatural tension.
