20th Century Men #4

The penultimate stretch of Deniz Camp and Stipan Morian's six-issue series arrives with one of 2022's most arresting cover images: a towering soldier in camouflage gear, name tag reading "Dawson," raises a bat overhead while an army of identically helmeted figures surges forward through smoke and chaos at his feet. Morian's stark red-washed artwork gives the whole scene an unsettling, propagandistic weight that perfectly suits this series' Cold War-inflected ambitions. With lettering by Aditya Bidikar rounding out the creative team, issue four of 20th Century Men is a compelling reason to see where this ambitious miniseries is headed.
