The Marvel 2099 event draws to a close with this Omega issue, and Patrick Gleason's cover makes a striking case for the stakes involved — a cloaked, armored figure with blazing red eyes looms against a sky torn apart by crackling lightning, fists clenched with unmistakable menace. The jagged, spike-edged silhouette and that ominous dark circuitry-patterned border give the whole composition a sense of futuristic dread that feels entirely earned. With Nick Spencer writing and a full artistic team including Gerardo Sandoval and Zé Carlos on interiors, this is a satisfying capstone to one of Marvel's more ambitious 2020 event books.
